Meet Lou: The AI Agent We Built for Our Own Website
We don't just build AI agents for clients, we run one on loukama.com. It answers real questions, checks our real calendar, books real consultations, and captures leads while we sleep. Here's exactly how, with the receipts.
We spend a lot of time telling clients that an AI agent can answer their customers, check their calendar and never lose a lead. Then it occurred to us: our own website was still just a contact form. So we fixed that. Meet Lou.
This isn't a demo we built to show off. It's the actual assistant running on loukama.com right now, at /chat, answering real visitors before we've even seen the message.
What Lou actually does
- Answers real questions about our services, pricing and tech stack, pulled from our own knowledge base, never made up
- Checks our actual Google Calendar for open consultation slots, live
- Books a confirmed slot, sends the visitor a confirmation email, and alerts us, no double-booking
- Captures a qualified lead's details and quietly saves them, even at 2am when nobody's watching the inbox
It answers real questions, not scripted ones
Most "chatbots" are a decision tree wearing a chat bubble: click a button, get a canned reply, hit a dead end the moment you ask something unexpected. Lou isn't that. Ask it something specific โ pricing, our tech stack, whether we build mobile apps โ and it looks the answer up in our own knowledge base and responds in real sentences, not a flowchart.

A real answer from Lou about our AI automation services โ pulled from our knowledge base, not a canned script.
It checks our real calendar, not a guess
This is where it stops being a chatbot and starts being an agent. Ask Lou for a consultation slot and it doesn't say "someone will get back to you." It looks at our actual Google Calendar, right then, and reads back real open times.

Lou reading live availability off our real calendar, then asking permission before saving anything.
It books the slot and won't double-book you
Once a visitor picks a time, Lou doesn't just say "great, see you then" and hope for the best. It re-checks that the exact slot is still open (someone else could have grabbed it in the last ten seconds), creates the calendar event for real, emails the visitor a confirmation, and pings us so we know it happened.
That re-check matters more than it sounds, it's the difference between an agent you can trust with your calendar and one that quietly creates double-bookings you find out about later.
It captures the lead even at 2am
The most valuable thing Lou does isn't answering. It's remembering. When a visitor is ready to talk business โ name, contact details, what they're building โ Lou asks permission, then saves it: to our database, into a Google Sheet we can open from anywhere, and straight to our inbox as an email alert.
It deduplicates against the same email within 24 hours too, so one enthusiastic visitor refreshing the page doesn't turn into five identical notifications. By the time we wake up, it's not an empty inbox, it's a short list of warm leads with their details already saved.
What it won't do on purpose
Just as important as what Lou does is what we deliberately kept it from doing. It can't send arbitrary emails on request, can't reach into any part of our systems beyond the four things above, and it always offers WhatsApp or a human as a fallback the moment a conversation needs one.
An agent that can do anything is a liability. An agent that does four things extremely well, safely, is actually useful โ and it's the same principle we build into every agent we ship for clients.
This is what we build for businesses like yours
Lou is proof of work, not a one-off. The same approach, A knowledge base it can't hallucinate past, a live calendar it can actually check, a lead pipeline that fires the moment someone's ready โ is exactly what we build for clinics taking bookings, service businesses tired of missed DMs, and shops that want their site to work as hard at 2am as it does at 2pm.
If you've read this far wondering what an agent like this would look like on your own site, that's the conversation Lou itself is happy to start.
The bottom line
We didn't build Lou to impress anyone. We built it because a contact form that sits quiet until Monday morning was costing us the same leads we tell our clients they're losing. Now try it yourself โ ask it something real at /chat, and see how far past a scripted chatbot it actually goes.
Talk to Lou yourself, ask it about pricing, check a consultation slot, or just see how it handles a curveball question. Then let's talk about building one for your business.
